From Covid-19 derived a new type of mobility

The health emergency has brought many changes in people’s lives, substantially affecting the mobility sector as well.

In the car market, ecological models gained an important market share going from 15.1% in the first nine months of 2019 to 25.1% in the same period of 2020, while the two-wheeler electric segment closed the third quarter with a +128.4%.
This incredible growth is certainly influenced by the presence of purchase facilities, but it is still considerate a significant and ongoing change in people’s habits. It shows a change in traveling of Italians that seems even more significant if looking at the choices made for urban mobility. This change is also been favored by the need to travel spaced away one another, and that has led to halving the public transportation capacity available therefore forcing users to look for alternative ways to move. In fact, there is a boom in bicycles, a growth in micro mobility and of the two-wheeled sharing.
