From Westport, the HPDI system

On the occasion of IAA Transportation (an international trade fair dedicated to the world of transport which took place in September in Hanover, Germany), Westport Fuel Systems, one of the world leaders in alternative fuel systems sector and low-emission transport technologies, presented its new HPDI system (westport-hpdi.com).

High-pressure direct injection technology is based on natural gas, biomethane, or hydrogen, in its green version: a solution for internal combustion engines in heavy-duty applications in long-distance transport.
Westport also announced that it had been selected by one of the world’s largest (yet undeclared) car manufacturers, winning the manufacturer’s program to develop and supply LPG systems for various applications of the Euro 6d LPG platform. The agreement will bring in an income of 38 million by the end of 2025, with production starting in the fourth quarter of 2023.
