After electric and solar-powered buses and the hydrogen bus project, FlixBus goes even further into the world of sustainable mobility by bringing the first bio gas-powered vehicles into action. The debut on some international routes took place on July 1st: the first BioCNG bus (Compressed Natural Gas) which connects Amsterdam to Bruxelles and the first BioLNG bus (Liquefied Natural Gas) which connects Stockholm to Oslo. For its debut in bio gas mobility, FlixMobility (the operator to which FlixBus and FlixTrain brands belong to) collaborated with an excellence of the Italian manufacturing sector: the bus used between Amsterdam and Brussels was produced by Iveco, thanks to a strategic partnership and powered by BioCNG thanks to the agreement with the Dutch OG OrangeGas. Instead, the bus operating on the route between Stockholm and Oslo was produced by Scania, and will be powered by BioLNG thanks to the agreement with the Finnish Gasum.
