Also an Italian school, the Liceo scientifico Romano Bruni of Padua is aboard the international space station (ISS),with an experiment created and planned by a team of students.
This experiment has reached the exceptional level of Flying Status thanks to the participation at the Astro PI Mission Space Lab project, developed by the European Space Agency (ESA), in collaboration with Raspberry Pi Foundation. This is an educational project that offers young people the extraordinary opportunity to conduct scientific research in space by writing computer programs that run on Raspberry Pi computers – the Astro Pis – aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
Elia Stellin, one of the student involved in the project stated: “Our research wants to proof the correlation between the improvement of air quality and the improvement of plants’ health.
