The Minister of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility has signed two decrees providing 100 million in order to facilitate the purchase by road transport companies of ecological and technologically advanced vehicles so to renew the vehicle fleet and therefore reducing pollution and increasing safety on the roads.
Road transportation – said the Minister – is extremely important for the functioning of our economic system. Like other sectors, it is now called to contribute significantly to the ecological transition and fundamental to increase road safety. The existing vehicle fleet has a high average age so my hope is that the road transportation companies will take this opportunity to contribute to the renewal of vehicles in line with the European Union policies aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
