The election of Donald Trump risks to upset the barely achieved balance of global warming, even if in his latest declarations has stated to be available to find an agreement with the Paris treaty.

We’ll see which direction he decides to follow as it is bound to affect us as well. We hope that he will pursue an idea of  a “green economy” where Italy has greatly performed, especially in the transportation field with CO2 emissions. Could this be thanks to LPG and methane fuel? We can definitely confirm such to be the case, especially given the number of European vehicles in circulation with alternative fuel.  Italy has the largest percentage of gas driven vehicles (22% in Europe-EU28). Out of the 252.7 million circulating vehicles, 5.5% use alternative fuel: 0.1% are electric, 5.4% liquified gas fuel (about 13,5 million), 3% of which are found in Italy. It is for this reason we continue to support liquified gas for cars. It is one of the key points in the new decalogue drafted by The General Council of Green Economy regarding sustainable transportation. In fact, the 10th point suggests that by following the example of Holland and Norway, as of 2030 there should be the prohibition of matriculated cars which use fossil fuels and/or diesel. Therefore cars will only be electric, hybrid, bio-fueled or gas.
