It was born in 1995 – named A
Tutto Gas News
- as the only magazine concerning automotive LPG and CNG.
Italy is known having the recognized leadership in this sector,
and in those years, about 100, 00 – 120, 00 vehicles per year were
transformed to gas (LPG or CNG);
vehicles were supported by a fairly complete network of refilling
stations, at least for LPG. The whole industry was mature and needed a
non-partisan body of information that could inform, communicate, update
and, in essence - why not? - promote the use of automotive gas as an
economical fuel, but above all: ECO-FRIENDLY.
Since then many things have changed. From a situation unfavourable to
those who used the automotive gas vehicle - there was still an
"additional tax" – we have passed into a phase of strong institutional,
governmental and local incentives, with aids and incentives laid out in
different ways by the various administrations in order to increase the
use of vehicles with low environmental impact. So we arrived, during the
year 2009, to over 1.5 million gas vehicles circulating in Italy (in
addition to 10 million in the rest of Europe) and more than 600,000
registrations and gas approval testing of OEM or aftermarket converted
vehicles. Unfortunately these recent months the situation has changed
considerably compared to last year because of the lack of ecological
incentives has led to a real drop of aftermarket converted and OEM gas
vehicles.
The magazine has been consistently following this trend and is closely
monitoring the market by supporting and creating opportunities for
various meetings, including commercial, triggering a strong information
channel between the supply and demand of this technology. With the
bilingual issue (Italian and English), since 2005 it is more
user-friendly for foreign readers offering further news and knowledge.
Of course, even if it is economically dominant, automotive gas is not
the only possibility for an eco-friendly mobility. So the issue, not to
be too "gas addicted", has changed into
Ecomobile informing and dealing matters and techniques
about electric, hybrid, biodiesel, hydrogen mobility.
The number of subscribers has been growing (about 4,500) with a
circulation of more than 50,000 copies delivered to operators,
institutions, opinion leaders and, through service stations and garages,
potential as well as real final users. Any suggest has always been and
will always be welcome. Readers can always talk with the editorial
staff. Any text and materials will be kept into consideration. The
web-site is a summary of the work of editing, but all readers should
refer to the printed pages, the only able to convey the true spirit of
the magazine, even if from the No. 80 you can "browse" the digital
magazine version.
Enjoy the read!
