Will Dafi and biomethane save us?

With its inception on January 14, the Dafi decree, which indicates that Europe should provide the infrastructure for supplying alternative fuels, is nearing completion and its incentives for biomethane usage.

It will be enough to boost the ecological car? The electric car hasn’t taken off and even gaseous fuels are not developing as they should. There is free movement in the event of driving restrictions to counter pollution, but the incentives – a few which are still available – are essential to move the market for low-emission vehicles. Even small benefits have been proven fundamental in recent years to motivate motorists to choose low impact engines. The greatest business benefit generated are investments by the State. To start, the recovery would reach a demand in the final push of multi-year exemptions from road tax. Consorzio Ecogas, an association that brings together the operators of the LPG and methane gas auto industry, has drawn up a detailed proposal, with a lot of financial backing, which involves gas and hybrid vehicles. But up to now, the politicians have not accepted this solution, even when applying the Dafi directives.
