Ecomondo and Key Energy

Green economy is the only possible sustainable economy if we want to protect our future – as pointed out by the Italian Environment Minister, Mr. Gian Luca Galletti – and Ecomondo is its perfect representation. Among the key issues of the 2017 edition, we found alternative fuels, mobility and transportation. In particular, we’d like to point out the agreement signed by the members of the National Technological Platform on (bio)methane gas. Their objective is to promote bio methane gas by creating special initiatives.

Moreover, in the same occasion, there was the world preview of the new 13 Lt methane fueled Scania – in both CNG and LNG version. This vehicle has been developed for long range transportation in order to meet the Green Economy General States requirements. In fact, they asked for a change of direction in urban mobility and the prohibition of registration for diesel and petrol fueled car by 2030. During this transition period, the focus should move to natural gas and hybrid vehicles.
