Today in Italy, we have only 7 bio-methane stations, 6 of which are for demonstration purposes. Yet the potential for producible bio gas could reach 8,5 billion cubic meters by 2030.
To increase prospects and development opportunities, and also in the prospective of the decree approval that will stimulate bio-methane fuel the production, Legambiente organized the national conference called The New Frontier of Bio-methane (in Bologna on February 6th, 2017). The spread of bio-methane for transportation vehicles is strategic for Italy: It would strengthen the two sectors of excellence and production of bio methane and gas plants.
