In the first nine months, there have been 783 accidents involving children between the ages of 0-13. 42 children lost their lives and another 997 were injured seriously.

Of the 46 victims, 25 of them were passengers , 15 were pedestrians, 3 bicyclists, and 3 on scooters or motocycles. 18 deaths occured in the city, 18 on state or provencial roads, and 5 on the highway. The ages of the victims are represented by: 14 children between the ages of 0 to 5, 19 between the ages of 6 to 10, 13 from the ages of 11 to 13. Of the 783 accidents, 45 of them occured near schools with 9 cases involving a schoolbus. Meanwhile, Istat has published the statistics of accidents in 2015.
In Italy, there have been 174,539 of people injured which provoked 246,920 hurt and 3,428 victims. This is a first time an increase since 2001 (+1,4% with respect to 2014). In 2015, there was also an increase of victims within the Ue28: 26.311 versus 25.896 in 2014 (+1,6%). For every 1 million people, there have been 52 deaths per road accident in the Ue28 and 56 within our country.
