The end of the summer means the end of the warm season and the arrival of bad weather and fog, especially on the plains.
It also means the arrival of provisions to limit traffic in our cities. Starting from the Emilia Romagna Region (where even Euro 3 diesel vehicles are subject to the provisions) the Lombardy Region (but also Pesaro and Rome, the railroad link), measures have been organized for years at the regional level for improvement of the air quality and reduction of polluting emissions, especially PM10, in order to comply with the safety limits established by the European institutions.

The prohibitions will be lifted for the cleaner vehicles, particularly those fueled with LPG and LNG, electric cars and hybrids. One solution for those who own an older car and have to comply with compulsory stoppages is to convert the fuel system of gas. Despite the cost of installation of the system – from about 1,000 euro for LPG to about 1,500 to LNG, which can be amortized in a year or less – it is an economical option, thanks to the savings on the cost of fuel that can be as much as 60%.
