Ecogas: more gas fueled cars into the SEN

The proposal that was drafted during the meeting starts with some premises: LPG and methane are alternative fuels and as such are recognized by the Dafi Directive regarding the realization of alternative fuels infrastructure. Moreover, the related economic sectors are to be considered as an Italian excellence. Their widespread use in road haulage assures environmental, economic, social and industrial benefits. Ecogas Consortium has requested the introduction of some specific references in the drafted proposal for gas fueled auto-traction vehicles.We are convinced, they explained, that, the gas supply sector – GPL, methane, LNG, bio methane and bio propane in a scenario as the one prospected, will gain in the future an environmental, energy and technological value. In our view, this is true because, on one hand it will take decades to make the the circulating cars more environmental friendly; and on the other hand there will be new renewable resources to exploit.
