In Italy, there are 3,611,664 vehicles in circulation powered by alternative propulsion and fuels.
Of these 2,409,840 (6.18% of the total circulating) are dual fuel petrol – LPG; 945,184 (2.42%) with dual fuel petrol – Methane; 239,779 (0.61%) are petrol hybrids; 12,156 (0, 03%) electric cars and 4,705 (0.01%) diesel fuel hybrids.
All together they represent 9.26% of the circulating vehicles, which is equal to 39,018,170 units. An increase compared to 2017 when the alternative fueled cars represented 8.8% out of 38,520,321 units. Data collected by ACI was updated as of 31st December 2018 and released by Assogasliquidi/Federchimica and Ecogas Consortium.
